Bringing forth new life is a blessing for many families today. The joy of parenting and responsibility is summed up by seeing your children grow. The Telangana state government has granted this pleasure to all pregnant women in the state. They provide a complete kit and funds to cater for the mother and child. These happen through the honor of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). The new scheme by the name KCRKIT scheme for pregnant women and newborns. It was launched during the Telangana Formation Day.
This program is designed to help reduce the infant mortality rate IMR and mother mortality rate MMR in the state. The government offers pregnant mothers financial assistance of Rs.12,000. The amount is divided into three phases. For the mothers delivering baby girls, the state will give an additional Rs. 1,000.

KCRKit scheme provides the women with all essential to help them through the pregnancy. The project is developed to help women deliver in hospitals and reduce the mortality rate. Already the government has allocated Rs. 605 Crore. The KCR administration provides the mother with the funds and 16 more items to help during the prenatal and postnatal times.
How Much Money is Allocated by KCR KIT Scheme?
The government has two prices for mothers baring girls and another for boys. Mothers who deliver baby girls will receive Rs. 13,000 in their bank account. For mothers who get baby boys, they get a fair share of Rs. 12,000. This money is divided into installments to help at each stage of pregnancy and when the baby is born. However, the funds and items are only delivered to women who give birth in government hospitals. They will benefit from a maximum of two deliveries only.
Installments for the scheme
- The first installment is Rs. 3,000 and is transferred when the pregnant mother goes for two health checkups. The amount will help her buy nutritious food during pregnancy.
- The second installment is Rs.4,000 (Rs.5,000 for girls) and the KCR kit after delivery.
- The third installment is Rs. 2,000 is given three months after childbirth.
- The final amount Rs. 3,000 is offered nine months after childbirth.

From the portal, women should register by providing details such as mobile number, name, and other required details. Enter the government hospital details (name). Then submit the details to complete the process. Login and apply for scheme benefits, check the status of your application, and other details.
